Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Duties:

Develop current / future state user stories, process flows, models from requirement sessions, screen mockups/wireframes

Accept requirements from multiple stakeholders and prioritize product backlogs and analyze them for impacts to the systems

Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprised of product management, content, and technology stakeholders and facilitate the elicitation of project requirements using a variety of techniques (e.g. interviews, JAD, user observations)

Analyze and prioritize software product requirements and understand the system capabilities to decompose into user stories and organize them into -chunks- that may be built and/or delivered independent of one another. Sequence the requirements and schedule them into different releases; communicate release schedules to stakeholders

Act as a liaison between the agile delivery team and Business stake holders by communicating product and Business vision, translating product needs into technology solutions

Maintain the teams' work backlog; make sure that there is an adequate supply of groomed stories

Resolve issues, answer questions, and remove obstacles for the SCRUM team quickly

Champion continuous process improvement across the product development lifecycle

Understand the system architecture and project portfolio well enough to assess the impact of requirements, identify potential impacts to interfacing applications, and project/system dependencies upfront

Understand and work within both agile and waterfall methodologies, selecting the most appropriate based on project needs

Requirements:

Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems and propose solutions that address expressed needs

Ability to facilitate negotiation and build consensus amongst competing parties, ultimately driving teams to decision

Ability to glean organizational strategy and work with stakeholders to identify and define priorities appropriately

Strong experience in gathering requirements from the business or clients and facilitating requirements sessions

Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving

Possess outstanding leadership skills

Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to operate independently and effectively, making progress on tasks while dealing with process and project ambiguity

Experience (1 year or more) with analysis in Agile, Scrum development environments

Experience (1 year or more) in analysis for web applications in a multi-tier architecture

Must be able to change hats (i.e. Product Owner, QA, and BSA) and adapt quickly to change

Ability to review and approve system test plans and test cases

Recruiting / staff augmentation Industry experience

40 Hours per week; 8:30AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday
